Maxtor Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 8 30 GB From Customer's order Drive is NOT visible in BIOS, firmware problem? drive shows as n40p in bios, but can't be accessed.

Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 8 40 GB From Customer's order I have the problem you list. Doesn't appear correct in bios and doesn't get seen by OS. Possible Firmware issue. I tried a program that runs in dos, but it doesn't see the drive. Were not looking to spend a lot of money, so an estimate might save your time.

Maxtor 4D080H4 80 GB From Customer's order This is a "Case #2" failure (described on your website). The BIOS is no longer recognizing the Maxtor drive model number or serial number and instead displays only the drive's "family name"(Romulus). The computer will not boot up. POST stops at a screen that says "F1 for Setup F2 to continue." It was installed in a second PC as a "slave" but it was not recognized.
