Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3750528AS external - Fixed disk parameter table or bios error

Drive was responding very slowly. OS X drive utilities reported Super Block missing. The alternate super block was also bad. Used Necleus software to attempt recovery. Software retrieved most files. However, all files were size 0. Shortly after this the drive starting clicking and was completely non-responsive.

Error reading hard drive - Seagate ST340823A external

The green power light comes on, the disk spins up, makes the usual access type noises, then nothing happens; disk keeps spinning (no strange noises. The amber access light comes on and/or goes off, depending on how/when I plug in the Firewire cable.
