Hitachi IC25N060ATMR04 laptop
- - A blue screen appeared and stated that there was an Unmountable boot drive
- The computer was taken to Best Buy/Geek Squad; however, these folks were not able to recover any data as they stated that the "head" that reads the drive is "broken."
I'd like to thank you for what a wonderful job you did in recovering my data...
From Flight Centre Canada:
Seagate Seagate FreeAgent Desk 1.5Tb external
- I have a FreeAgent external box and it dropped from a small height.
After the accident the computer didn't detect it anymore and it makes a noise like ticktock with quiet buzzing.
The hard drive was removed from the external enclose and tested separately in computer repair shop.
The technician told me that the abnormal clicking sound from the hard drive is not a good sign. It's possible the spindle or reading heads may be damaged.
I thought I was going to lose my data. Thank God I was wrong.
From Jon L. iZone Group Rockleigh, New Jersey USA: IBM IC25N040ATCS04 laptop - Drive is CLICKING; NOT visible in BIOS. I removed the drive from the laptop and put it in a USB 2.5' external enclosure. It did not work :(. Replaced drive in laptop, drive now totally dead.
I'd like to thank you for recovering my files, much appreciated...
