Damaged Toshiba MK1214GAH HDD1901 with MK ZIF connector laptop from Synchronet Industries, Buffalo New York

The hard drive is 1.8' laptop by Toshiba with ZIF connector, it's not accessible. When is stopped working we removed it from notebook, I guess we did not have a right tool to do so and as a result of such manipulation is that ZIF drive broke the clasp that holds the ribbon in place, after that we didn't do anything, just searching for outside help with reliable data recovery service, until we've found you.

I believe DataLab is a great competition to all those 'rip your money off' places offering recovery from broken drive in the price range of $2000-2,500. You did a great job and all for four times less. A lot to think about. The cloned hard drive is here and booting up just like its predecessor before it failed.

Dropped Toshiba MK3263GSX HDD2H23 laptop from Wendy D., Calgary, Alberta, Canada

My suspicion is the hard drive got corrupted files. There are two partitions on the drive - primary and recovery. I need data from primary partition; the recovery partition doesn't have any user's data. The drive has been dropped on the floor, when trying to boot - nothing appends just some bell noise.

Congratulations are in the order! I'm the luckiest gal today I got all of my stuff back and it didn't cost me thousands, as the Best Buy guys predicted. I'm grateful for all of your hardest work in getting my files. You were right saying: to make a right decision at the beginning will save you a lot of time, money and nerves later on, and I believed you!

Broken Toshiba MK1629GSG from Terry A., Toronto, Ontario, Canada

The drive is 1.8-inch Toshiba, 160GB isn't accessible. The laptop doesn't see it any longer. The only attempt to check the disk was adding it as a secondary drive to a computer with no luck. Bios was not able to detect the drive. All data under user's profiles (not sure on each profile name).

I appreciate such painstaking work. I am hoped that I learned lesson and will try to stay on the safe side in the future. Back up on the regular base as simple as that, could've kept me away from such nightmare! Your recovery engineers are very skillful, to recover data from a dead tiny disk. Not an easy job to do. It's kind of scary to think of what you guys do... but respectful.

Noisy Toshiba MK2546GSX HDD2D90 250Gb laptop from Victor K., Home Essentials, Jersey City USA

The drive was removed from Toshiba Satellite with Windows 10 on it. The symptoms before crash:
First error was seen on the black screen 'Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.' Tech support help tried to run computer in the safe mode to eliminate the drivers and devices that is causing the system to lock up.
After numerous blue screen errors the failed drive was replaced with a new one (no problems now), but we need to restore my outlook email (pst file in user profile) and all documents from the old hard drive.

Recovered PST is set and tested OK, documents in perfect condition too.
