Hard Drive Tampering

If you are sending a tampered drive for recovery,
expect additional charge (normally $200). This is in regards
to any internal intrusion or PCB tampering.
For example, the charge for additional
recovery labor will be applied, if you or someone has tried
to recover your hard drive and
- Made some soldering operation on Printed Circuit board
- Opened a drive cover
- Removed labels |

Spare Parts Usage for Data recovery cases
|
In some data recovery cases, to retrieve the data we need spare parts to put on a failed hard drive.
There is no extra charge for our spare parts usage. We stock spare parts for most existing hard drive models. In rare cases you might be asked to provide a spare drive for parts, to continue with a recovery process. The recovery cost might be reduced for those exceptional cases. |

HD was damaged when a liquid was spilled on the keyboard. Laptop failed to operate and when HD was swapped into a new laptop the OS was not recognized and laptop failed to boot.

I was traveling on business and my computer bag did fall from the car seat on to the floor while driving to the airport. The bag was a very well protected and cushioned bag. Upon arrival at the hotel I plugged the Ethernet cable into my computer and started my computer. Microsoft outlook began to load and it froze. I tried to end task but it did not allow me to, I shut off the computer. When I tried to start the computer again I got the prompt that the hard drive was not detected. I called dell and they had me try to re-boot and it would not. They indicated that the hard drive had crashed.

I was copying a source tree and the PC got really slow. DOS prompts took over 30 seconds to start. I ran a virus scanner to look for a possible culprit. Then I rebooted and I go a drive not mountable error on the blue screen. Turing off the PC and waited a few minutes. The PC started up again (I ran in safe mode).
I tried to lift off my data but I was getting I/O errors every minute or so.
After recovery:
