Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS - how to stop hard drive clicking noise

Drive DOESN'T SPIN; failed in OS. I've only tried to hook it up to another PC as a slave drive to retrieve. The drive is recognized in the BIOS, but does not show up in Windows.
