Recovering data from a crashed hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500820AS The PC froze and when I tried to restart it I heard a clicking sound from the hard drive and Windows would not load. The BIOS recognizes the drive but gives it the wrong model and BIOS wasn't able to read the drive characteristics such as size, geometry, etc. No recovery attempts were made and the drive wasn't opened. Fixed disk parameter table or bios error; Seagate ST380819AS Not spinning. The hard drive was replaced by Dell under service agreement. Attempt to recover data from computer store. They informed us of the need to send the drive out to a lab for recovery of information because drive was not spinning. Arma Scrap Metal Co. Inc.
