MK4021GAS Hard drive squeaking

HD starting making "buzzing" sound and system crashed. Was able to re-boot a few times but not able to access files before system shutdown again. HD was removed and placed in an external enclosure, and connected as an external HD to another PC. Was able to see some of the files on the C drive but was not able to open or copy them. HD noise became worse over time.

Cannot initialize hard drive : MK6025GAS

Not spinning. I closed my laptop to bring it into the conference room and the drive made a low buzz. I shut down the machine (Power Mac G4) and later removed the drive to substitute and keep working. In an external USB box the drive starts up but does not mount.
