Please be aware of, in some complex recovery cases the recovery process time may be affected by capacity of hard drive and condition of surfaces on the disk.

Drive recognized incorrectly in BIOS as Maxtor ARES C64K. Drive spins fine and does not make abnormal noises. Different identical PCBs were tried. Platter was moved to a known good chassis.
