Please be aware of, in some complex recovery cases the recovery process time may be affected by capacity of hard drive and condition of surfaces on the disk.

I received a "file corrupt" message and tried to use OS repair via disk. Appears the installation of the OS disk formatted the hard drive. Downloaded a file recovery program from the internet but was unsuccessful

Had problem booting about 6 months ago, powered down for a long time and it worked again. Turn on the power and the bios doesn't detect the drive and it doesn't spin up.
