Abrupt failure. Drive won't mount. With ear to drive, sounds like it spins up but makes odd crunchy grinding noises. No recovery attempts were made.

Thanks so much!!!

Western Digital 3.0TB WD30EZRX hard drive for Desktop PC

Drive failed after Power Surge. Single volume, hard drive came in an HP USB casing. There was a voltage spike, and the HDD was not responding anymore. I hoped it was only the casing and voltage transformer, so I took it out and put it in another of my casing, and it refused to spin up. There was a distinctive smell of burn chipset. The drive itself was not tampered with. Request to recover: all the contents of the drive, pictures, xls, docs, everything.

Very good drive repair and data recovery result.

I was copying a source tree and the PC got really slow. DOS prompts took over 30 seconds to start. I ran a virus scanner to look for a possible culprit. Then I rebooted and I go a drive not mountable error on the blue screen. Turing off the PC and waited a few minutes. The PC started up again (I ran in safe mode).
I tried to lift off my data but I was getting I/O errors every minute or so.

Thanks again for recovering data for us, outstanding results as always.
