HD was working in old computer. Removed HD and installed in a new computer as a second drive. Moved the jumpers from Master to 'cable select'. Windows XP did not detect the HD. Powered down the PC and disconnected power cord. Moved the jumper setting to 'slave'. Again XP did not detect the HD. Opened BIOS and noted that BIOS did not recognize the HD. Exited out of BIOS and started computer. Noticed that the HD is not spinning or clicking. I don't believe that it was spinning or clicking the first time I installed in the new computer. I opened the cover, did not touch anything and placed cover back on.

Thanks for the help in recovering my data.

Just can't see drive in Windows nor DOS. The drive was placed in the new computer to see if the new computer would read it. Nothing came up. No other attempts were made.

Thank you for pulling my data off. I'm satisfied with the results and would recommend you services in case anyone needs it.
Thanks again,
Scott

This drive has broken reading/writing HDD heads with partially scratched disk.
Can we get a number in regards to what constitutes a partial recovery in terms of percentage wise? What if the customer agrees and only gets 50% of RAW data I don't think that would work out.
I will present the recovery result to him once we have a guideline of some sort.

This is a surprisingly good result for seemingly intractable problem.
