Drive is NOT visible in BIOS. Connecting to the different computers did not change anything, drive couldn't be seen by any. The data is extremely important, please help.

Drive is failed in OS. Hot swap incident. Circuit board fried, possible R/W head damage. Tested with new circuit board... Tested with new Firewire Enclosure... Tested with Desktop ATA connection... All tests failed to mount drive. Probable Head damage.

This is a 'Case #2' failure (described on your website). The BIOS is no longer recognizing the Maxtor drive model number or serial number and instead displays only the drive's 'family name'(Romulus). The computer will not boot up. POST stops at a screen that says 'F1 for Setup F2 to continue.' It was installed in a second PC as a 'slave' but it was not recognized.

The computer froze, after rebooting the clicking clunking sound from the hard drive. Did not try anything, as thought it could make more damage to the disk. Took the drive to the computer repair, they could not do much either, said the heads issue - recommended data recovery. Heard about you from a friend, I know you can help to restore the files, don't care about the program or system files.

Drive is seen in BIOS, but makes spinning and clicking sound, can't be accessed by XP
- Tried running chkdsk, didn't help - also upgraded firmware, that didn't help either
- Drive is seen in BIOS, but seems like more than software recovery.
